Friends on Wheels is an in-home friendly visiting program that connects volunteers to our clients receiving meals, for an enhanced connection and friendship beyond the five-minute chat at the door.

Meals on Wheels of Loveland and Berthoud is committed to nourishing the bodies and souls of our community’s aging and homebound adults, ensuring that they feel valued, cared for, and connected.

Nine competitive teams came out for an unforgettable evening of wit, laughter, and a shared passion for supporting a noble cause.

This month, Meals on Wheels of Loveland and Berthoud celebrates 56 years of service! As we reflect on our past, we are reminded of the profound impact a simple meal can have - transforming the lives of so many, and the many milestones we’ve achieved through the support of a dedicated community.

In a world where the needs of older adults and caregivers often go unnoticed, there shines a beacon of hope – NextFifty Initiative. This visionary foundation stands at the forefront of a movement to transform the lives of those stepping into their second 50 years. Their recent announcement of $120,000 in grants to organizations in Larimer County has sent ripples of excitement through our community, and we at Meals on Wheels of Loveland and Berthoud are proud to be among the chosen recipients.

Our Friendly Visitor pilot program addresses the issues of isolation that many of our homebound clients face.

This past June, Meals on Wheels of Loveland and Berthoud took a step to start addressing the issues of isolation with our homebound clients. We started a Friendly Visitors Pilot Program, pairing caring volunteers with at-risk clients.

Meals on Wheels is taking over Downtown Loveland!

On June 22, 2022, we will once again host our extremely successful and popular Meals on 4th dining experience and fundraising event. For this one special night, tables will run the length of 4th Street in Downtown Loveland, creating a magical dining experience for supporters and guests alike!

Today marks the official 50th anniversary of the Older Americans Act (OAA) Nutrition Program - the federal legislation that provides funding for nutrition services for seniors and helps support programs like Meals on Wheels of Loveland and Berthoud.
